1-Step or 2-Step machine polishing to remove defects. A coating locks in the surface — so we make sure that surface is flawless first.
Surface Prep
IPA / panel-wipe across every panel to strip residual oils and silicones — ensuring the ceramic bonds directly to the clear coat.
Coating Application
Ceramic applied panel by panel, by hand, with proper flash and level times. Multi-layer or boosted depending on package.

What's the difference between the three ceramic coating packages?+
All three packages use 5-year ceramic protection. The difference is the amount of paint correction performed before the coating: no correction, 1-step correction, or 2-step correction.
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?+
Not every vehicle needs paint correction. Vehicles with good paint may use the 5-Year Ceramic Coating package, while vehicles with swirls, oxidation, or other defects can receive 1-step or 2-step paint correction before coating.
How long does ceramic coating take to apply?+
Service time depends on vehicle size and condition. Ceramic coating without correction can usually be completed in about one day. A 1-step correction generally requires 1–2 days, while a 2-step correction can require 2–3 days.
Will ceramic coating prevent rock chips and scratches?+
No. Ceramic coating provides chemical resistance, UV resistance, hydrophobic properties, and easier maintenance, but it is not a physical barrier against rock chips or significant impact. For impact protection, PPF is the appropriate solution.
How long does a ceramic coating actually last?+
Our packages are built around 5-year ceramic protection. Actual durability depends on maintenance, washing habits, storage, climate, and how the vehicle is used.
How do I wash my car after ceramic coating?+
We recommend safe hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo and clean microfiber drying towels. Avoid automatic tunnel washes, harsh chemicals, and abrasive tools.
Can you apply ceramic coating at my home or garage?+
Yes. Luxima Detailing is a 100% mobile service across Southwest Florida. For ceramic coating, we require a covered, shaded, dust-free area such as a garage, with water access and a standard electrical outlet.
