Single all-in-one polish. Light swirls & minor defects. Great for newer cars or pre-coating prep.
2-Step Correction
Cutting compound + finishing polish. Removes moderate swirls, scratches, and water spots. Most popular.
3-Step Correction

Paint Correction FAQ — Southwest Florida
Everything you need to know before investing in professional paint correction in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Bonita Springs, and surrounding Southwest Florida areas.
How much does paint correction cost in Southwest Florida? +
Paint correction in Southwest Florida typically ranges from $500 to $900+, depending on the level of correction your paint needs and the size of your vehicle. At Luxima Detailing, our 1-Step Correction starts at $500, our 2-Step Correction starts at $750, and our 3-Step Concours Correction starts at $900. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition, severity of defects, and the package selected.
What is the difference between 1-Step, 2-Step, and 3-Step paint correction? +
1-Step: A single all-in-one polish that removes 60–70% of light defects. Best for newer cars or as prep before ceramic coating.
2-Step: A dedicated cutting stage followed by a finishing polish. Removes 85–95% of moderate defects. The sweet spot for most daily drivers.
3-Step: Adds a refining stage between cutting and finishing. Removes 95%+ of defects and produces concours-level gloss. Reserved for show cars and exotics.
How long does paint correction take? +
1-Step Correction: 4 to 6 hours. 2-Step Correction: usually a full day. 3-Step Concours Correction: 1.5 to 2 full days. Larger vehicles or heavy defects may require additional time.
Will paint correction damage my clear coat? +
No — when performed correctly. Paint correction removes only a very thin layer of clear coat (measured in microns). At Luxima Detailing, we use a paint depth gauge before, during, and after the process to ensure we never remove more than is safe. Our process is based on training and certification from Mike Phillips.
How long do paint correction results last? +
Paint correction itself is permanent — defects that are removed are gone. New swirls can appear over time from improper washing. To protect your investment, every package includes a 3-month spray sealant. We also recommend pairing your correction with a ceramic coating for long-term protection.
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating? +
Yes — and this is critical. Ceramic coatings lock in the condition of your paint. If swirls or scratches are present when the coating is applied, those defects will be sealed in too. We always recommend at least a 1-Step paint correction before any ceramic coating.
Can you remove deep scratches with paint correction? +
Most light-to-moderate scratches can be safely removed. If a scratch has gone through the clear coat, it cannot be polished out — it would require touch-up paint or refinishing. Quick test: if your fingernail catches in the scratch, it's likely too deep. We always inspect with LED lighting and provide an honest assessment before starting.
Do you serve Naples, Cape Coral, and Bonita Springs? +
Yes. Luxima Detailing is fully mobile and serves all of Southwest Florida — including Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Bonita Springs, and Estero. We come to your home, condo, or office as long as the property allows vehicle work and there's access to water and a standard outlet.
Are you certified to do paint correction? +
Yes. Luxima Detailing is trained and certified by Mike Phillips, one of the most respected names in the professional detailing industry. Every paint correction follows a tested, repeatable, measurable process — using paint depth gauges, professional-grade polishers, and high-quality compounds.
